Depuis le début des années 2000, Pierre-Alexandre Busson, aka Yuksek, aura multiplié les expériences pour s’avérer au- jourd’hui comme un des
producteurs incontournables de la scène électronique. DJ all around the world avec ses mixes disco/house énergiques, remixeur prolifique (pour Gorillaz, Lana Del Rey, Breakbot…), producteur pour Juliette Armanet ou Clara Luciani, fondateur du label Partyfine, com- positeur de bandes originales ou aux commandes de l’émis- sion hebdomadaire
Dance’O’Drome s Yuksek plonge dans le grand bain du cinéma avec la composition de la musique « Marguerite et Julien » de Valérie Donzelli, en selection au festival de Cannes 2015.
En 2016, avec « Nous Horizon », un troisième album, qui porte merveilleusement bien son nom, Yuksek ouvre son univers au disco pour amener le genre plus loin et le remettre au goût du jour. Un disque en forme de déclic nécessaire à l’explosion médiatique de Yuksek qui depuis n’a pas cessé de passer d’un projet à un autre, de la bande son du documentaire sur l’affaire Grégory pour Netflix aux compiles ensoleillées de son label Partyfine, de ses talents de producteur au service d’Armanet, Luciani ou Feu Chatterton ! en passant par Destiino, side-project sombre et minimal, Yuksek a trouvé une aire de jeux à la mesure de son goût pour les expériences et les rencontres.
Dance‘O‘Drome, le nouvel et cinquième album de Yuksek, poursuit l’univers dessiné avec Nosso Ritmo. Accentuant sa lune de miel avec le Brésil, jouant sur les percussions, finalisant un grand mix dansant où se côtoient envolée disco, déflagration punk-funk, italo-disco fiévreux, hommage au label de house filtrée Roulé, boucles acid malicieuses, clins d’œil à Metro Area ou beats langoureusement balearic. Un disque qui fait écho, par son éclectisme, tout en s’en nourrissant, à son émission Dance’O’Drome. Rare émission de mix DJ sur une radio française, dont le succès n’est plus à prouver, Dance’O’Drome, comme le thème hypnotique qu’il a composé pour «En Thérapie» ou la B.O. du film «Zaï Zaï Zaï Zaï» ont permis au DJ et producteur d’élargir son audience au-delà de ses espérances.
Sur la route des festivals ou en studio d’enregistrement, au mi- cro de Radio Nova ou derrière les bandes son de nos films et séries préférées, Yuksek qui passe d’un projet à l’autre avec une curiosité et un enthousiasme contagieux, doublés d’une humilité, n’a pas vraiment l’intention de stopper sa course folle et hédoniste. La preuve, Santas Almas Benditas, le premier single tiré de son nouvel album, chanté par Luedji Luna, qui démarre tout en percussion avant d’exploser en bombe dance- floor hédoniste et sensuelle, est la preuve en beauté que Yuksek a décidé de nous faire danser toute l’année 2023.
Since early 2000s, Pierre-Alexandre Busson, aka Yuksek, has never stopped experimenting, finally becoming one of the most important producers in electronic music scene. At once a DJ, world renowned for his energetic disco/house mixes, a prolific remixer (Gorillaz, Lana Del Rey, Breakbot, etc.), a producer, a label founder, a composer of film soundtracks, and radio host, Yuksek jumps between projects with an enthusiasm that betrays his deep love of music and his jack-of-all-trades approach.
After his formative years spent in the wild rave scenes of the 90s, Yuksek has gone on to impose himself as one of the most brilliant inventive forces in the turbulent music scene in Reims (The Shoes, Brodinski), giving new lease of life to the French Touch.
Yuksek marked himself out from the crowd in 2009 with Away From The Sea. His first album pulsed with metallic melodies and uppercut beats, blending rock and electro seamlessly.
In 2016, his third album, tellingly entitled «Nous Horizon», Yuksek opened up his musical universe to disco, broadening the genre further and ushering it into the presentage. The album was the spark he needed to gain widespread media attention, and Yuksek has kept up the momentum, moving from one project to another, even releasing with labels such as Classic Music, Glitterbox, Toy Tonics, Sweat It Out, Kitsuné, Domino…
From Netflix or Cannes Festival movie soundtracks to the sunny compilations of his label Partyfine, or his talents as a producer for French popstars Juliette Armanet and Clara Luciani to Destiino, a dark and minimal side-project, Yuksek has found a playground to match his taste for new experiences and discoveries. An album that echoes, through its eclecticism, the inspirations drawn from his radio program Dance’O’Drome.
Thanks to this DJ mix show, rare on the French radio spectrum, which has already proven itself a success, as well as the hypnotic theme he composed for the series «En Thérapie», french adaptation of the « In Treatment » US show, created by Hagai Levi , and the soundtrack for the movie «Zaï Zaï Zaï Zaï» this DJ and producer has found a broad audience, going well beyond his initial expectations.
